Ellen Woldu Cereals and other Food Items Supplier
Sister Ellen Woldu has a diploma in nursing through which she worked as a health officer in Hawassa, Assosa, and Addis Ababa for six years. A work-related injury left her disabled despite undergoing two corrective surgeries. She could no longer work in the nursing profession. She created a job for herself by processing pulse seeds and traditional spices. Her clients were mostly family members, neighbors and friends living in Addis Ababa and overseas. The Addis Ababa Health Office and Kirkos Subcity Administration granted her some working space where she founded ‘Sister Ellen Woldu Cereals and Food Items Supplier’ as a small and micro enterprise in March 2015 with a capital 25,000 ETB.
